This is an archive I just made

As it is a French site to share files a few explanations may be useful.
You should see an icon named DEMODRM.RAR
You click on its top red button and should see a small menu the key word to select
is telecharger that means download.
It should be rather fast but it is a big file about 300MB
Inside the archive you have a player "Sodira " it is German but the buttons are in English.
Information can be found here:

The only thing you should need to configure is your sound output.
Then on the main window you press play and select the big *.WAV file
If Gods are on our side you should be able to explore 96 Khz of the French MW band
as it was at the date of the file.
I hope it will work as I have little use of this sharing site and no experience of using it
world wide.

It works just great. Right now I'm listening to TDF 999 kHz. I changed to AM and 1008 kHz was also playing.
This is the first time I´ve tried SoDiRa, a lot to investigate.
Have you used this program to generate the wav-file?

I played the wav file with the V0.099. Worked fine, but with my previous SoDiRa version, the V0.093 it did not seem to work. (?)

9giga is a service that comes free with my ISP. Upload is as slow as my connection but it allows
sharing big files with several friends.
Its the first time I tried it out of France
Was the download fast ?
In fact the files were recorded with an older version of Sodira the 0.92 one
It may be useful to tell those of the sampling rate of the files that is 96KHZ
It can be done in the configuration menu even if your sound card doesn't support that rate
For AM reception one useful tip is to use the synchronous mode and select USB or LSB or manual
bandwidth

Hi,

The download is fine with my connection, I'm on a 100 Mbps fiber connection.
Right now I'm downloading DemoDRM2, it takes around 6 minutes.
Yesterday when I downloaded the first file it took around 3½ minute.
I'll give these new recordings a try later today.

The DEMODRM3.rar took 9 minutes to download with 4G here, about 16 MB/s. Personally I'd prefer .zip files to .rar, as the latter always upsets my anti-virus software by alerting for spyware...

I played the files with the V0.096. Worked just fine.

Was the download fast ?

I downloaded all 3 files together at about 16mins at a rate of ~850KB/sec/each (maybe there is a rate limit per file).

I hope that this mode of sharing reception results will develop.
It could be useful in identifying foreign languages or comparing aerials.
The receiver I am using is this kit:

The aerial is a 2x25m dipole with a ferrite balun only 4m above ground.

Hi,

Just now the file 2012 10-25-26.wav is playing with SDR Sharp and Dream 1.6.1cvs. I set the SDR# to play IQ.wav files, LSB and a bandwidth of 12 kHz. The audio is fed from the SDR# via the virtual audio cable to Dream.

Nice programme on 999 kHz - quite different from the usual French you normally hear with never-ending talk-talk-talk. Nice music, perfect sound.

I remember when I lived in Switzerland that this frequency was very difficult to receive because of co-channel QRM. It would have been nice to have had a local station playing DRM - this is a good example of how Medium Wave radio should sound.

@F1BJB: Do you recall "RFO TOP SOLEIL" on 999 kHz from September 2007?

In fact the DRM transmitter on 999 Khz was reactivated for a few days in 2012
This is when I recorded it.
The audio is the old demo loop some time they talk of prices and it was not yet in euro.
I never tried to play the files in SDR Sharp but the waterfall display could be of use
I agree with you on the little interest of French MW broadcasts.
Same dull info programme on a lot of frequencies.
And we get it in FM almost every where so nobody uses it.
There is also the "France Bleu" program on 864 Khe witch is in stereo CQAM but not brilliant either.
I googled "RFO TOP SOLEIL " and it seems it was another demo loop.
I was not equipped in DRM at the time.
