Ok, so there has been work in progress at Junglinster, but why have I been hearing a (400ms?) echo, intermittently for the past few days? I don't understand how it could be a fault at the receiver end. I attach a screenshot, and a zipped mp3

AND another thing - is it really a good idea to have _every_ post concerning RTL 5990 under the sole rubric "RTL 5990 kHz"? Surely, there should be a FORUM under this heading, not a thread - or should we perhaps do away with all separate threads, and just post everything under "DRM" 8-[

Where is the problem? There are a lot of other DRM transmissions apart from this one. If we were to establish a forum for each one of them, this whole website would look rather chaotic. The way it is, every interested party can find the information at a single place and this is sufficient.

Hello to all,

Extremely good results today with the stereo stream. (At the end of the log, a tentative of plugging again the laptop to the AC power, reducing SNR up to 8 dB).

RTL 5990 was fine this morning, now it's echoing again (14:00utc) - is it just me, or do others hear this? - I've never heard this on any other DRM tx

Hi all,

on my stay in Geneva/Switzerland I often tune in to RTL and the reception in my hotel room starts to be perfect from about 6:00UTC. I have no time to really check how reception behaves during the day but when returning to my room between 19-22UTC, I can listen again to both 5990 and 6095 kHz comfortly an my latest MP40 prototype.

Regards,

Michel

Hi all,

that's my first posting here.

As I don't have special DRM/AM equipment (just an old Philips Soundmachine from the 80ies) nor a special AM antenna, my receptions are just for beginners ...

5990_060703_2220_andimik.png

Has 5990 been switched off during the night? Another reason could be that there was no analog frequency in the neighborhood at that time.

Reception reports from today (2 min with all audio frames!)
