21285- whether any new station proposed?

Dear members,
From India, I notice a 2sec drm tone repeated after every 9 to 10 sec at 03:00 UTC. I wonder whether any new station is in the offing!!

Sarma - on that frequency it may be some form of HAM DRM, since that is the primary allocation for that frequency. I believe that there are a couple of specially written forms of DRM that are very narrow bandwidth, and they were designed to fit within the bandwidth of an SSB transmitter.

It may have been someone testing their rig and PC setup, I don't believe that is enough time for anyone to get synchronized for a real DRM contact. I would be curious to know if there are any more transmissions like this. It certainly wasn't from over here in North America, as 21MHz is quite dead at this time of night: currently it is 2200 local time here in Arizona.

It is occupying 10KHz bandwidth around the carrier. As you gave a way through- a possible HAM, i shall try it out with my local National Institute of Amateur Radio, to check out.

Interesting information, Sarma. The Ham DRM programs are only about 2.8-3kHz wide, so this may have been something else being transmitted on that frequency. It would be interesting to learn more about this signal.
