9725 kHz in NZ
Hi All
9725 kHz has provided very good reception here in Wellington, New Zealand. This is about as good as DRM gets in this part of the world. 11875 kHz is also equally as good at the moment (0900 UTC). 73 Chris

Received 100%, no problems with the very stable signal. First part of the first transmission was Chinese, then English. Sound quality is very good but apparently some parts are compressed differently than others since there is a slight (not disturbing) audible difference.
I hope TDF will have real logs from this sparsely populated area. Last edited by Ager : 26-01-2009 at 11:59. |

11875
Signal remained strong and stable all the time, but sound was lost at about 11 UTC (I was not listening at the moment). Break in TX at 11:22 did not bring it back. Another break 11:32, no success neither. At 11:45 data source was labeled TDPRadio! No sound though. New TX breaks at 11:51, 11:55, and 11:57 again.
After 11:57 it was ok with proper source information and CRI audio, and with the stable 26 dB. I had no chance to listen all the time but I kept recording. Looking at the graphics now, I see that there were no more interruptions. AAC SBR param stereo 19.1 kbps + Slideshow 1.8 kbps (What an interesting log I could have had. I wonder if I should install Dream again..?) |

Jan. 14 (11875 kHz)
Hi all,
I managed to receive this transmission, covered by the strong splatters of the TX on 11870 kHz. The signal was about 35 dBuV and the sound was very good. I also received some pics from the MOT service.

Stable signal in today's last transmission, too.
So, what we had here was excellent propagation, good frequencies, pleasant sound quality, and interesting contents in the English speaking part. Problems (after 11:00 UTC) were TX-related. What more could one wish? I know what. Receivers! From China :-) |

Simone's figures must be upside down, there is TDF/CRI transmission on air now at 5865 kHz. SNR here 26,4, stable reception.
Chris: new try tomorrow, we are quite on the opposite sides of the globe;-) |

When it approaches dusk, I can pick up some audio. But then, strong AM interference cut short of the fun.

9725 kHz in NZ
Hi All
9725 kHz provided a very good signal again here in NZ from 0800-0900 today. I'm always still amazed when I get reception like this and hear how good DRM can sound right around the world ![]() I've made an animated GIF of today's slideshow, which today includes a photo of Montsinery. 11875 kHz is currently now providing excellent reception, but if it is like last night it will suffer co-channel AM interference from 0930. Cheers, Chris
