Italian MF tests

I recently saw this news about tests in Italy. I tried to find a thread for reception results, but I missed it or its not there yet. Has anyone received this Italian tranmitter? If there is a thread, can someone post a link?

Report: daytime MW tests done in northern Italy. It shows coverage from a site near Milan of the entire northern Italy territory -- effectively the Po valley from "France to Trieste" and Piedmont extensions of it -- using 34 kW average power. More testing is planned.

Hi James,
http://www.drmrx.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1379
I tried to receive it occasionally, but too much intereference for me with VoRīs simulcast transmission on the same frequency, so not good enough for reliable audio decoding, but I do get label and ID from both stations depending on the position of my antenna

Hi Simone, AIR(all india radio) IS GOING TO TRANSMIT SIMULCAST ON SHORTWAVE BEAMED FOR Europe understandably from today. it is alrady indicated on this forum. (AIR ABU COLLABORATION.)

after seeing the issues you are facing, iwonder whether there is a set design for processing such simulcast receptions.

Regards

Sarma

Hi Carsten,
Sarma is referring to the information given in this thread: http://www.drmrx.org/forum/showthrea...7548#post37548
I am not sure if transmissions are beamed to Europe, as far as I know measurements are being made in India.
@ Sarma:Concerning the problems with interference on the MF frequency that I mentioned above, I should add that I am not in the (daytime) service area of both the transmissions! So I get both only by skywave, so the situation is not surprising.

No thread for reception results so far , but ...

look at "Radiopassioni" ,Italian blog, Italian language
http://radiolawendel.blogspot.com
go to
'04 Maggio 2007 Atti degli Apostoli (della Radio digitale)'
click on
'Relazione1'
'Relazione2'
you get RAYway DRM presentation
at AirMeetingTorino (Turin Ham radio meeting) , held ~April 2007
text in Italian, slides of interesting info on DRM, by RAI, the largest
Radio Italian Broadcaster (State owned).

To my knowledge, DRM on air in Italy :
RadioVaticana (Rome, SantaMariaDiGaleria) 25 kW 1611 KHz
during the day and 1530 KHz at night
RAI (Milan, Siziano) 37 kW 693KHz

In the near future ( but exact date not known )
RAI (Rome, S.Palomba) 50 kW 846 KHz
