RTBF on 5925 kHz

RTBF, the Belgian public broadcaster in French, will conduct a test transmission on November 7, 2006 in DRM from 1000-1200 UTC on 5925 kHz.

This coincides with a press release about RTBF's plans regarding it's future plans for digital radio, including podcasts, DAB and DRM.

The transmission is originating from the transmitter site in Wavre and will be using a curtain antenna directed towards North America.

Not even a hint of reception in Detroit, MI USA at 1000 UTC. There is an analogue station from China on this frequency. Will see if things get better as the morning goes on.

(In more optimistic news from the USA, Radio Luxembourg on 7295 is blasting in here at 1030 UTC!!!).

RTBF - 7 Nov

No luck here in Tucson either. Dream didn't record any data at all.

Not sure if the transmission was really beamed to NA.
Anyway not too bad here, transmission lasted longer than had been announced.
