CVC – 17640 kHz from Santiago

Dear all,

Thanks for all reports. I have seen very good results!
As you have noted, we are running on a new frequency, 17640 kHz.

Reports and comments are welcome here as always.

Many thanks

Mathias

Hi all,

The propagation conditions tonight helped for an almost excellent result for 60 mins.

A bit up and down in the beginning, but from 1830 UT things improved dramatically. The rest was almost perfect here.

Quite a weak signal in the beginning, then around 18:50 it got worse, but the second hour was perfect from 19:10 with 100% CDA.

Thumbs up Very good

There was a delay before the TX started. Generally good straight through tonight. The SNR dips might be lightning from weak thunderstorms about 40 km from here.

I think the old transmitter needs a new lamp.

Dear all,

We have changed final valve on the transmitter we normally used for DRM, but it is still not working well. The transmitter we tested the last days didn’t work well on Friday, so that’s why we haven’t been on air.
