Send it to DRMBULGARIA at drmmix@spaceline.bg, not to me! By the way, I think there was an interview with him today on PCJ Media!

Reception was stable today until the first half of Radio Prague's broadcast.

Thumbs up

No audio problems anymore, good quality now.
A very interesting lineup of dx programs, way to go, thank you!
SNR was not very high and TX intermodulation visible,
but not a single dropout during three hours today!

No luck here at all, less than 50% CDA.

@drmdab, Pirx and others:
The crashes with Dream are a problem of the version of the FAAD2 library that you compiled Dream with, there was a fix for FAAD2 about 5 years ago, if you do not have another version better use the FhG Software Radio on transmissions that use UEP.

Nothing received over here, not even an indication of a signal.

Hi Marcel,

UEP means Unequal Error Protection, it is a feature for a graceful degradation of the decoded audio signal in case of a bad reception situation. UEP means that some parts of the audio is higher protected and some parts are lower protected, the relation of the two is given by the number.

Additionally to Simone's explanation - the UEP does not use from the effective bitrate listed for the service, so if it is listed 19 kbps UEP, means the audio is 19 kbps and the additional bits remaining unused for certain DRM mode may be used for error correction (for the case with DRM Mix) we have arround 19.8 kbps audio service, and 43% UEP - means that additional 8.5 kbps are used for error protection.
Hope this explains the situation.
