Strong signal in Switzerland but horrible audio, sometimes with severe ground loop hum. Not even "near short wave quality" audio...

Anyway, the decoding was very good. Listening on the DR111, therefore no log tonight.

Nothing wrong with the reception, but time is ripe for a mode change!

Another perfect log from Nigeria with "almost understandable audio quality".
The SNR on the DR111 was 20-21 dB during the time I looked.

Due to some problems with the audio, some of it was even less "almost understandable".

Despite Kp:5, the reception of this ill-sounding station was virtually perfect. The Doppler looks queer, as queer as the audio.

Perfect DRM reception, mostly garbled audio - only one female announcer sounds relatively good. The Doppler constantly rises and at the end of the log it reached its maximum. It's a pity that nobody is able to switch to a slightly better DRM configuration.

Perfect decoding, 100% CDA for 85 minutes. Even the Doppler behaved this evening.

Perfect reception. Seems like the propagation has improved, as the Doppler was below 1 Hz all the time. The audio is sometimes acceptable (well, almost acceptable), sometimes distorted and garbled.

Thumbs down

This transmission is nothing but a big joke.
The government spent a lot of money for the latest equipment,
and the engineers missed their lesson about how to configure a DRM modulator.

At least it is a robust mode!!! No errors whatsoever. But the guy down there who answered my e-mails in the beginning doesn't do that any longer...

Anyway, despite the badmouth from PC Media in Taiwan, here is an example of good reception. If you're not in the target area, what do you expect?

This log was taken with the DR111 sitting on a table in the living-room.

Amazing... the Doppler went haywire tonight once more, but the decoding was perfect. Max Doppler reached a maximum of 3.35 Hz at 1956 UTC.

(Sorry, last night the W7 compatibility settings for the Plotter were wrong).

Back on air tonight, unfortunately with the same miserable configuration. But the decoding was perfect: 100% CDA. Only the Doppler looks peculiar, but it does not impair the decoding at all.
