Question

Hi All!

Thank you Sixten,

Yes, an early start as Michel Penneroux, Peter Senger and others were visiting Taldom with an Himalaya receiver in hands.

On 10 and 11 October, we will transmit from Issoudun to Moscow 'DRM symposium) and may be up to Beijing (ITS) on 15795 kHz from 0700 to 1500 UTC with 150 kW into a 4/4/0.8 at 55.

Any listener in Moscow or China?

Regards.

Hi Jacques.

Propagation was very very mystery today.
I test her signal from portable reciver and teleskopic antenna , and my TS930 antenna dipole , same problem propagation krazz totaly.

No logs attached but a printscreen, its a little closer to Moscow than at Sixtens. Great reception in Finland, very good sound quality and stable signal.

This TX shoots way over my QTH - I'm definitely in the skip zone.

Hi All!

From Ager report, I noticed that the code rate is 0.6 instead on 0.5 as we are transmitting RFI Russia in mono. It will be corrected (I hope...) tomorrow.

No news from China!?

Cheers.

Not so good here in SE China. At the start of logging, weak (S5) but usable signal. After dark falls, signal faded out and All India Radio Chinese service blocking the rest of the programme.

After All Indian Radio off the air, some chances of decode, but not last long.

Still excellent reception over here, with Jacques having the text data corrected.
Very nice SNR, no dropouts of any kind, simply perfect.

Hi all.

Her is 58min Log. First 25min come from my portable reciver and last 25min from Kenwood TS930S and dipole antenna.

Roadstar give MAX SNR of 23db not more. So it is not transmitter error !!!!!

MOBILE RECEPTION

I tried to receive this transmission on the road in northwestern Germany this morning, but obviously I am too close to the TX. The signal is strong enough but too much distorted by backscatter etc., so as good as no audio.

The lower bit-rate gives much stable result and the timing of drop-out coincides with my previous log:so definitely solar related.

Hi All,

DRM transmission to Moscow and Beijing is now over. I would like to thank all those who sent reports to me. I specially appreciated to hear from DRM reception near Hong Kong / China and I got also a report from Japan via Terje. DRM transmission to China is not easy; the usable time slot is quite narrow and it is not easy to find out a clear frequency (QRM from AIR).

I have no idea if our transmission was used during ITS exhibition in Beijing but I got at least report from Zfyoung in ShenZhen / China!

Regards.
