Later I also listened in the car, it is the first time I can switch between FM and DRM listening to the same programme in the car great!

@ dk8cb

Thank you, Roland! Last year I tried different levels and periodically changed line and microphone inputs for better reception, unfortunately, specific detail of my location - most of the signals are weak, so last time I experimented with high input level really, in some cases it gives better SNR. OK, I`ll reduce level again and compare the results.

Hi all,
find attached 70 min log from this afternoon. Signal was quite strong (average S9). However SNR quite low.

Hi All,

Not bad for the first reception. Near the end of TX the signal degraded slowly.

Hi,

it is no pleasure for me to listen to BR-B5akt! There are many
drop outs also during daylight inspite of an 9+ signal, with
a well looking Impulse Response and no interference.
I presume that the
reason is the carrier in the center of the DRM signal which
is approx. 10 db higher than the DRM signal. Hopefully BR will
modify the transmitter avoiding the waste of several kW by
this carrier containing no DRM-informations.
Some months ago I observed test transmissions from DLF on
177 kHz. Time by time they added a carrier in the center of
the DRM signal which immediately lower the SNR by 6 to 7 dB.

For sure the BR engineers know this low effective method to
linearise a transmitter but the financial controllers prefere to
waste money daily instead of investing one time in a
modification which would improve the listening quality for the
customers paying for it.

Hi All,

Poor reception this evening. I stopped log after 1 hour. Look at the "zip" how it started and ended.

Diagram looks worse than reception actually was, but many dropouts caused by a.m. interference from 10kHz down and selective fading.
