13650 kHz DRM Service A
Here a first screenshot from this station.
Is it from Japan or from Korea?

Same configuration as Kuwait though... The signal is too weak here in Stockholm at 1846 UTC. Too high Kp and too much Aurora. The 0.00 kbps could indicate that they transmit xHE-AAC? I'll check again tomorrow.
PS: Now at 1953 UTC they run 17 kbps and AAC+ and it looks exactly the same as on 15 MHz. PPS: Fragments of a female announcer at 1901 UTC in Arabic (most probably) Last edited by Digger : 16-07-2017 at 19:02. |

It really looks like 15540 KHz even the -300Hz offset is there.
Audio is less interesting as not in English and less music |

DRM Service A (Kuwait) logged for 60 minutes from 1908-2007 UTC. The QRG is normally not allocated to Kuwait as far as I could look up. The transmission was in Arabic and the origin was definitely Kuwait. Max. 26.10 dB SNR and 22.08% decoded audio (in DReaM). Kp suddenly rose to 6 during the day and strong Aurora made the reception difficult here.
PS: The TX Site has been changed to Al Kabd Last edited by Digger : 17-07-2017 at 14:00. |

16 Jul 2017 : Radio Kuwait on 13650 kHz from Al Kabd
I decoded 20% audio of the Arabic transmission. In notice the same UTC +3 hours time offset as the 15540 kHz transmission

After some struggle, after Win10-update I got some good sound from Kuwait.
20 minutes of listening with a CDA of 99.1 %. Good audio, although I didn't understand it.. Time: 17:44-18:04 UTC

A 161 mins log (I stopped the log when the decoding almost stopped). This seems to be a transmission from Kuwait. The tune at the hour is the same as on 15540kHz transmission, same configuration, language Arabic. 98.55% CDA / 33.6dB max SNR. Missing are the TX site and the target area.
EDIT: The transmission ended at 20:00.

@ John: I updated the TX Sites. Get it from my web. It is Al Kabd.
Perfect reception for 85 minutes. The target area seems to be USA. I monitored 15 MHz as well, therefore the log is short. Max. 29.92 dB SNR, average 27.91 dB SNR and 100.0% decoded audio. Last edited by Digger : 17-07-2017 at 20:30. |

The target area should be North America since coverage of Europe would be sufficient also. Since the loss of regional DRM transmitters such as Sackville and Cariari, North America could use additional DRM broadcasters.
I monitored both 15540 kHz and 13650 kHz briefly today and was surprised to see anything at all. 13650 kHz seems to be slightly superior to 15540 kHz at my location. I'll continue to look periodically. |

70 minutes of Kuwait this evening. Great reception, but the "program" could be better...
Time: 17:31-18:42 UTC which resulted in 99.55 CDA.
