Hmm, thats interesting. I thought that HCJB wanted to change TX Time and Frequency from today on to 20.00 - 22.00 UTC at 15360 khz. So I didn't try today at all. Maybe today's THE day with two transmissions in DRM to europe??? Lets wait for this evening...

Hi all,

Yes, sorry I didn't get to this earlier. We will discontinue our transmission from 11:00 to 13:00 UTC and move it to 20:00 to 22:00 UTC. The Frequency will also change to 15360 KHz.

We hope this frequency and time will be more reliable than the previous transmission.

HCJB on 15360 kHz from Pifo to Europe

As Doug always wrote in the old thread, HCJB has changed time and frequency for the two-hour-transmission to Europe including broadcasts in German and Spanish.

2000-2200 UTC on 15360 kHz.

edit: threads merged, Simone

15 minutes past 2200: No signs of HCJB here in Kiel. Or is it just a waste of time because the tx is not on air?

By the way: Of course it should be 'already' istead of 'always' in my previous post. I have to brush up my English.

Hi all,

I can confirm that we are on the air and have been since 2000 UTC on 15360 KHz.

Hi Doug!

I read that your signal gets stable to north america (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/drmna/message/1461) , but nothing here in the northwest of germany so far.

Same results here in the very North of Germany, no luck. There is a strong AM broadcaster on the same QRG since 2100 UTC.

But another German DXer from the south reports he has stable reception, 18 dB.

Hi again, Doug!

Some correction of my previous posting: Nothing here at my place, but a quite good signal in the South of germany:

"HCJB gets in here ,FM-like , very well in Südostbayern at 20:45UTC:S9+5dB, SNR >18dB at 3ele Beam (SteppIR). At 2x46m Dipole weaker,SNR 11dB, but without any dropouts. Better than every station I heared before from europe.RX:Perseus/Dream "

This time the southern part of germany gets the better signal.

The last half hour gave some drops of audio. I've to get up my pre-amp again, the tunable capacitor is not ok, I ordered a new one yesterday.

I hope that the next days will give us better results.

Hi Doug!

Signal gets in here in Northern Germany much better than yesterday.

SNR boosts up more the later it gets. The last half hour is the best in reception here.

I still have some problems, my elektor lags some 5 dB or so because its missing its active preselector which has a fault (I will repair it as i get the parts next week).

SNR now (21.40) is at about 15 db, peaking sometimes up to 20 db. Screenshot will follow later.

Edit: Here's the screenshot from today.
