HCJB on 11625 kHz/ 15360 kHz/ 15350 kHz from Pifo to Europe

New frequency for HCJB's transmission to Europe.

My first log on this new frequency is attached. Not like in the 31 mB last year...
I logged the whole transmission but cut the first part.
BTW: The DRMSWR is wrong, there were about 15 seconds decoded audio.

(Copy of my posting for 15275 Thread)

Hmm, it didn't become much more easy to receive the transmission from 11.00 - 13.00 UTC,

Frequency itself is free, but there's a strong arab speaking station at 15340 kHz with a wide modulation interfering at 15345 - 15350 kHz. And it seems that with my rx noisefloor is a little bit higher in this part of the 19m Band.

Hm, I don't know what to say, but if there is no signal, there will be nothing to decode. The channel is clear except for some splatter in the beginning of the log from 15.335 MHz, but it disappeared after a short while.

Looking at VOACAP, if I understand it correctly, 9 MHz would be even worse a choice for Quito. Or . . . ?

Parts of the transmission were with audio but no sound.
99.7% CDA for 98 minutes is not bad.

99.5% CDA for 114 minutes
MSC was on, but there was no audio from 11:30 to 11:32 UTC and through the entire second/ german hour. Sound reappeared about 30 sconds before the end and switching off.
Everybody on holiday again?
Not sure, but maybe I got a local birdie on 13359.6 kHz, not good for the planned frequency change.

HCJB on 15360 kHz from Pifo to Europe

As Doug always wrote in the old thread, HCJB has changed time and frequency for the two-hour-transmission to Europe including broadcasts in German and Spanish.

2000-2200 UTC on 15360 kHz.

edit: threads merged, Simone

15 minutes past 2200: No signs of HCJB here in Kiel. Or is it just a waste of time because the tx is not on air?

By the way: Of course it should be 'already' istead of 'always' in my previous post. I have to brush up my English.

Hi all,

I can confirm that we are on the air and have been since 2000 UTC on 15360 KHz.
