China National Radio logged for 183 minutes from 0556-0900 UTC. This transmission was logged with a not properly tuned EH-Antenna, not the active antenna as seen in the plot. Max. 27,00 dB SNR and 99,72% decoded audio.

Two logs:

1. China National Radio logged for 46 minutes from 0646-0733 UTC. Max. 26,23 dB SNR and 99,06% decoded audio.

2. China National Radio logged for 75 minutes from 0745-0900 UTC. Max. 26,18 dB SNR and 99,81% decoded audio.

For these two logs I used an EH-Antenna, an EH-Star, tuned to 11695 kHz. The EH Antenna, scorned by many - but works very well - if you know how to use it, is much quieter than the active antenna. It produced almost the same S-meter readings as the active antenna. A drawback is that the usable bandwidth is very narrow.

11695 kHz tests (?)

CNR are up to something? Good signal on 11695 kHz just after 05 UTC. However there is no reaction in DReaM (see attachment). I also tested with the Gospell using the same antenna and got the same result - no title, no data, no nothing. Are we perhaps entering the era of scrambled DRM?

I have the same result at 06:00 UTC, but I don't think it is scrambled DRM. It look like signal excitation malfunction or some similar problems on Tx site. Just take a look on the spectrum waterfall, you'll notice the 2 out of the 3 frequency pilot tones are significantly weaker than normal.

In the attach file, the upper half is the normal DRM, below is the problematic 11695kHz DRM.

@zfyoung
Yes, you're right. I looked at the other parameters in Dream and saw that all data were missing. I also noticed that the frequency was on-off-on during the afternoon.

China National Radio logged for 58 minutes from 0727-0825 UTC. Max. 13,91 dB SNR and 10,69% decoded audio.

According to information, some of their DRM transmitters have been off the air for maintenance. That explains why I have not been able to receive any signals but the propagation is so poor anyway . . . it hardly does not matter!
