2018/1/17 Reception in NZ

Reception pretty good using the NZ Radio DX League KiwiSDR in Northland, NZ. Reception at home, a couple of hundred kilometres further south and a much noiser location, was not good. The first log screenshot is via the KiwiSDR in the Bay of Islands, the second is from home using my Elad DUOr & Wellbrook loop.

Audio & log file here on OneDrive

At my location in Japan there was not much to receive. After 08:21 UTC there was not much left of the signal. About 2.5% decoded audio.

Logging through KiwiSDR: I have no plotting tools, so I have to attach with the raw log file for any one interested to have a look.

Note: the first section(from start to 8:36 UTC ) is via receiver in India, the rest of it (8:37 to the end) is from receiver in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia.

Ignore the irregular data between those two sections. Because of unknown reason, the Indian receiver is offline. So I have to switch to another one.

PS. For one of the files "dreamloglong.txt", you have to change the suffix of file to ".rar", and decompress due to file size limit of forum post.

At least KTWR had enough sense to move the modulation from 64 QAM to 16 QAM ... it's NOT rocket science, folks.

If you disregard the location and some other details, zfyoung's log looks like this:

19/1 Mode B 16 QAM Greece and NZ SDRs

This one got out quite well. I got about 80% copy from an SDR in Greece and even better from one in New Zealand.

Rock solid in India via kiwiSDR throughout 30 mini. They should stick with robust mode A as yesterday since the length of impulse response is well within limit of mode A.

Again,
