No Germany DRM

I asked that question last month of Joachim Lehnert, Chairman of the German
DRM Platform. Here is his reply:

"I'm afraid, there are no more plans to transmit DRM in Germany. Neither for inland
broadcasting nor for broadcasting to foreign countries. All transmitter sites for long wave and medium wave transmissions are closed. And there is only one site in Nauen near Berlin in operation to transmit over short wave. Temporary there is an encrypted DRM program for the crew of vessels of the German Navy, but no more. Also the 'Deutsche Welle' has no interest to use DRM. Also DRM in the VHF bands is no more a subject perhaps to substitute the analogue FM broadcasting in the future. All broadcasters use only the system Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) for digital broadcastings."
