Hi all and Roland,

Actually I was waiting for only a few minutes.....I am just tuned on BBCWS 7465 kHz. I will wait for the result.

Thanks,
John.

But the data received is still not complete, just wait a little longer and it will look like the attached screen.

Hi all and Roland,

The window completed after a while with the green dot...
Now, DW on 3995 kHz has a live schedule dialog with a wrong frequency 7390 kHz. I found only the presence of a carrier no DRM. Is this correct?

I only get a strong signal from VoR in english on 7390 kHz at the moment but if there were a DRM transmission from a german TX site, I would certainly be located too close to be able to receive it at this time of the day.

Dream SW CVS 1.62 is bullshit, needs 100 % processor load on a 2 GHz system.

John.

Hi, I tested CVS 1.61 from 10.02.2005, and it works nice. Today I have tested CVS 1.62 from 18.02.2005, and it causes 100 % processor load. It is nearly impossible to close the application, because my 2 GHz Pentium 4 is too slow. After clicking the close-button (the x on the right side) it takes about 30 sec that all windows of dream are closed and the PC is able to work again. After closing the last window of dream I get an error message: "Termination of sound interface thread failed."

I do not have such problems with the latest version which I compiled today.
But in any case, this is a question which should be posted in the Dream support forums.

I have posted my own quite different observations with this version on the Dream support forums and I have included a link to your post.

Hi all,

Can anybody explain what's the purpose of "DreamLogLong.csv" file? It's like a log file in "excel" form and has reached the size 500MB. Can be disabled or not (except of deleting it).

John.

Hi John,

that's the long version of DreamLog.txt with one second resolution.
You find the titles in the first line.
You may delete, rename or move DreamLog.txt and DreamLogLong.csv when DREAM is closed.
DREAM will create new files when starting the next log.
I think DRMcalc uses some values of the long log, i.e. SNR Maximum etc..

Hi Fritz and all,

Thanks for the answer. I am just starting using Dream v1.6.24cvs. I noticed that in AM mode the cursor does not lock to the selected frequency unless Cntl+A or mouse click. This does not happens with v1.6.1cvs. Is this a bug?

John.

If you want to deactivate logging to the loglong.csv file, then look here.

For an Excel macro that makes use of the loglong.csv file look here.
