Two logs from this afternoon. In the first log there is a period without signal because the strong wind toppled my dipole. Fortunately it did not break so there is a second log too. By the way, the signal was still heard (or seen) with up to 8 dB SNR around 18:15 UTC. That despite A:26, but perhaps the Sunspot Number of 61 helped?

Too bad weather here so I had to use the 70 cm Active antenna. I caught something, anyway...

7th May 2010

Today's log is short; not because of bad conditions, but I wanted to monitor 26.040 MHz from S. America too.

Hi Brendan and all,

Just for fun I looked up the chance to receive Bisbee in VOACAP. Please give it a try!

Today's catch from Africa was not a big hit... And the eager to see or hear Brazil was stronger...

This is the result for Sunday afternoon. Between SP on 26.040 MHz and having to leave early. Need more receivers!

Less and less, probably due to the lack of sunspots.

Stronger signal this afternoon. The S-meter did actually leave zero! Max input signal peaked around 18 dBuV. Of course the signal faded out 15 seconds before a possible Station ID at 1500. Grrr... The language after 15 UT was French. Before it was - Rwandan - if there is such a thing.

This TX is playing hide and seek with me! There is no way to record a station ID - the signal seems to fade out on the hour and on the half hour...

Absolutely nothing at all yesterday, but today I got a 221 minutes log. If they would use 14 kbps instead of 17, I believe there would be much more to listen to.

Not so much activity today. On Friday Kigali and Rwanda will be on Swiss TV. Interesting to see what Kigali looks like.
