Less luck down here... only 49% CDA.

17th Oct.

The first 5 minutes were 100% OK, but then the 1st hour added up to a sad 67% CDA. Then it was downhill all the way. The conditions just are not there.

Wow, it could become even worse than yesterday. It seems that the season is drawing towards the end for Santiago to Europe in 17 MHz.

Well, no further comment. OK, so I shortened the antenna a little, but the SWR became a lot better on this frequency. Anyway, today's unattended log takes the price.

25th Oct.

The conditions this evening are quite funny peculiar: While 3.9 MHz did not work at all for a while from 2000-2030, CVC came in loud and clear in the 17 MHz band from 1847 - 1956 with nearly 100% CDA! The overall CDA ended at 61% because the weak signal in the beginning. Perhaps the solar wind has something to do with these conditions...

Oops, got stuck in front of the TV and forgot to start the log. Anyway, I did not hear anything at the beginning, so I just left. Therefore I have no idea how much and how long the fun lasted...

The screenshot is taken at 1850 UTC. There was absolutely no signal to hear at that time...
