Do you know the type of antenna (e.g. 4/4/1) that will be used and the beam direction?

Thank you,

What a pitty, I missed it.
The announcement was too late!
Will there be more KBC tests, or will there be other programs?
I'd certainly prefer KBC!

EDIT:
There is a strong carrier with 100 Hz hum on frequency now.

Hi all,

I tuned in from 1800 UTC just to hear or see nothing at all here in Stockholm, Sweden. There was a utility churning all the time in the channel and no trace of DRM here in Stockholm. I switched off at 1850 UTC. There also was rather strong splatter from the adjacent channels.

No DRM signal received here, the utility station was visible at 1840 for 10 minutes, in the last two hours strong signal but only plain (AM) carrier.

... due to the bad luck, the DRM exciter has stuck and the transmitter remained on carrier only, that's the worse start of a new proejcet i could imagine. But thanks for monitoring, we hope we will get it fixed for the next transmission.

Many thanks for monitoring folks, every time the beggining is difficult, but let's hope it will lead to positive results in the future.

Exclamation

We hope the yesterday problem is fixed, and we will try to give a second try today, same time and frequency!

Audio started at 1801 UTC, one minute later than scheduled. ;-)
Currently still a little bit unstable here. Let's see...

Hi,

Quite unstable at my location as well. A few minutes before 18:00 there was a lot of "noise", then Emporor Rosko came on the air. A lot of 'gurgling sound', but a SNR of 16 dB.
At 18:23 the signal vanished.
Received txt msg:
We are all looking to hear frome you !

Unhappy Bad reception

Unstable reception here in the North of Germany. DREAM crashed and did not record anything for a while, so a part of the log is missing.

Decoding was okay at the start with some drop-outs only but the number of drop-outs increased later and the signal got too weak for any audio.

Furthermore, there was a lot of noise in the audio and the audio-quality could be improved, I think. And the text-message said the transmission was on 7550 which was not the case, of course.

Please see the attachments.

If I zoom my log to the same segment as Sixten I get 60% CDA compared to his 77.9%. For the entire log I got 22.45% CDA. Generally an unstable signal (and/or splatter from the lower adjacent channel). After 1830 the reception became even more problematic.

@ Ventsi: Can you tell us which kind of antenna was used for this transmission?

Here no problem with the 9 kHz mode B signal although the snr seems to be limited by the TX.
There was a hissing noise audible all the time as if the audio of an empty fm channel was mixed in.
The audio frequency response was a little too much on the high end.
Pleased to hear an interesting mix of stations including HCJB back in DRM!
Hope they will find the source of this disturbing noise.
