Finally ending up in the dead zone, but good results with good audio.

Reception was not really good. But many dropouts occured only because Dream does not support UEP with the current versions of FAAD2.

Hi all,
A first log on BBCWS 7465 kHz from Kvitsoy, not a good one in terms of reception. Signal was not weak but due to the big bitrate the audio decoding was not good. Oddly, the overall sound impression was over average, much better than anyone can realize looking at the log. John |

After transmission on 1296 kHz had ended, I tuned to 7465 kHz and found a strong signal.
Excellent result! 100%. I stopped logging shortly before 23:00 UTC to retune to the now DRM-free 1296 kHz channel in order to perhaps get some idea why I usually get an increase in SNR there shortly after 2300 UTC. After I had returned to 7465 kHz later, transmission continued until about 23:09 UTC, again with 100% audio. Kvitsoy looks like being a perfect TX site for my location. Roland |

Hi all,
here are my results of the complete 7 hours transmission, strong signal, long IR, signal was not synchronized with the signal from Rampisham, the dropouts at 1900 were caused by myself, 73, Simone |

Very good reception. There were no audible dropouts, because UEP is working in the DRMSWR. Some UEP effects were audible.
@Roland you should update your drmtx.txt file from time to time. I added a lot of new frequencies recently.

Hi Carsten, I had manually updated my old drmtx.txt file yesterday, but because the filename has been changed not long ago to drmtx.new and the old file is no longer used now (a fact, I already knew but had forgotten), it did not work and I did not check it after the change. I sometimes prefer to manually upgrade the file. Roland |

A short report from last night. Signal was still strong, but very deep fading sometimes causing dropouts.

No fun this early evening.
Interference from both sides, and a fast and deep fading on the signal.

I think there is a transmitter problem. The whole spectrum is jumping quite strong, I don't thing that this is fading. Never saw this before.
