BBC & DW on 5845 kHz from Nakhon Sawan

B10 schedule for this frequency:
1400-1800 UTC

This transmission is currently visible here in Germany, but due to strong utillity QRM on 5850 kHz no decoding is possible.

Big QRM on 5850 kHz!
Only 50% decoded audio.

A few syllables elbowed themselves through to my speaker, but that was all.

Simply the wrong frequency, nothing else!
I tried all antenna configurations, but this 4 kHz wide datasignal on 5850 kHz is always there and steals 2 kHz of the DRM signal.
I switched to usb with reduced bandwidth and used the -E 5100 switch in DReaM.
That helped a lot, but it did not really save the day.
There were several fsk transmitters on frequency.
Testing different modes (12kbps vs. 17 kbps) was very interesting.
With 12 kbps much more bad audio was decoded than good audio with 17 kbps.
Two ways out of this dilemma:
Either QSY 5 kHz down or -not as good but certainly an improvement- QSY 0.5 kHz down and use 9 kHz mode.

Agree 100% except for the -E 5100 switch in Dream (did not work here).

That data churner seems to be on all the time (now: 0915). -5 kHz could be a better option.

Hi all,

A 4 hour log, my best so far from this TX. The results got better after 14:35. The signal reached up to 40 dBuV sometimes. Good audio.

@Fritz. Thanks my friend, but its not me but my area, which seems to be "inside" a good lobe. If there was not the QRM on 5850 kHz, I would report even better results.
