Weak signal, higher bitrate than yesterday, very little decoding. Would be interesting to learn about antenna's azimuth.

Audio quality pretty good but low SNR decreased the decoded audio to 79%.

Wow, what a signal!

Unattended log, so maybe QRM of my notebook's AC adaptor.

Hi,
this time the audio was really bad, low Bitrate 13.96 kbps and very much distorded. The RF signal was rather stable and max SNR 21 dB.

An unattended 4h 40min long log. Lower bitrate than yesterday, but only 44% CDA. At 11:05 an AM carrier with 1000 Hz modulation drenched the AIR signal completely.

This was the first time I listened to Khampur, so I do not know whether audio has been better or not. SNR was low (not much more than 15) but stable enough to enable listening the nice Hindi music. I disagree with Seppo about audio quality. At such a low bitrate I think it was good.

It is nice to find that Ager has got a stable signal to enjoy the Hindi music.
In addition to bit rate the quality also depends on whether the Music transmitted is a new songs or older ones. The old versions are liked for their content and newer ones on the quality of audio recording.

Hi All

These transmissions have been a weak & unstable signal here in New Zealand. A pity really, since the few bits of music I did hear last night sounded quite entertaining.

Hi,
just a comment about the audio quality. First I like to say that the quality of the audio last Tuesday was perfect. The audio bandwidth was up to 13 kHz and the maximum audio level was about -2dB. On Wednesday the bitrate was 13.96 kbps and the audio level was very high, clipping the audio wave signal heavily at the time I was listening. Looking closer today the two channel waveform I noticed that the second mono channel was much more distorded than the main channel. So, it seems that the distortion in the second mono channel was the main reason for the bad audio in my system. Anyway, I agree with Ager, that at the time when the audio level was not clipping, the sound quality was amazing good transmitted only 13.96 kbps.
Best Regards,
Sreppo

An (almost) unattended log while I was out. At the start there was no label, so I let the DRM-Plotter shoot a screen when the audio came on. Soon after that the bitrate was increased to 20 kbps, and at the end of the log they switched to 13.96 kbps (?) again. Not much audio, just about 4.5%.

Chaotic changing of bitrates, labels, content, IDs, a real test transmission.
Directed to Sri Lanka there is no real chance of getting good audio here.
