2020 Up-to-date codec situation

I have received an email from a Chinese supplier asking whether I am interested in purchasing a number of a DRM radio receiver sets that he has. However, I am unsure of what the requirements are now, in 2020, for reception and full decoding of current (and expected) broadcasts. He has not yet given me enough information even for me to say what brand/model they are.

That he is being somewhat crafty make me think it is old stock. I don't want to even think about buying a set that won't decode the most up-to-date broadcasts. (Mind you, owning three DRM sets already, I am not sure I want to buy another at all! )

Could someone please outline for me what the codecs are that a current receiver must have?
