Dream v2.2 for decoding xHE-AAC on Windows 10?

Just starting this thread for anyone who, like me, has wasted hours trying to compile a version of Dream that will decode xHE-AAC. All helpful tips welcome. If I ever get a version that compiles and runs reliably under Windows 10 I'll be happy to share.

Cheers, Chris

A perfect example for the need of hardware digital receivers. The current version of DReaM is buggy to a segmentation fault. 😮
At least, some developers are trying to provide a software solution.

The KiwiSDR developers have the core working fine embedded
in their code. It is all the Windows stuff that is causing all the problems for me, and presumably everyone else :-(

Chris,
I can't judge the quality of the code in KiwiSDR, but the code in the latest version of DReaM is quite buggy. Thankfully, other software DRM decoders exist for xHE-AAC. Personally, I want a hardware receiver, but a SDR like the KiwiSDR might be a suitable compromise. I can wait for a DRM radio.

I considered to buy a Kiwi SDR in Germany for 329.- Euro plus shipping, but for being able just to perhaps receive 30 minutes of a xHE-AAC DRM transmission was no real alternative. After my chinese RSP-1 clone sometimes loses the usb connection I now ordered an original SDRplay RSP-1A for 139.- Euro incl. shipping.

There's Android version of Dream software, if xHE-AAC means so such to you? This is the cheapest and most convenient option I suppose?

USB problem solved:
Some strange settings in the energy management of Windows 10 in my lately purchased leasing returns laptop were the reason.
Nevertheless the RSP-1A with 14-Bit A/D and input filters will be an improvement.
