Is this broadcast in RNZI's B17 schedule? I've haven't checked their website, yet. Anyway, it's nice to have other opportunities to receive and DECODE DRM.

Hmmm. RNZI does currently list 13840 kHz as a DRM broadcast. I only remember RNZI being on analog at 13840 kHz.... Anyway, it's good to see it available in a more westerly direction so apparently the beam was changed.

Actually, 11690 kHz is better for us in the US since 13845 kHz is way too strong generally for 13840 kHz to decode. Regardless, RNZI could do much better than use DRM merely as a cheaper alternative to satellite for the Pacific. Personally, I don't care too much as I don't generally like RNZI's programming, with their music on Saturday being an exception. I seriously would like to hear the latter in robust DRM. I hope your correspondence with Adrian leads to something productive from RNZI. At least, RNZI appears to be receptive to input from their listeners.

USA ,,, WWCR on 13845 kHz is a big problem here. Depending on atmospheric conditions, I could null WWCR somewhat at my location with my magnetic loop, but the results would still be unsatisfactory.

RNZI Trial

Per Adrian Sainsbury at RNZI. The broadcast here was a brief
trial and they plan to try again in a few weeks.

73s,

Hans
