7390 kHz SNR Tiganesti E2

Hi All

I'm not sure if there's already a thread for this transmission - a search for 7390 returned no results, so here's my log from today in a new thread.

Newstar DR111 with telescopic antenna

Another log from Tiganesti. With a dropout in the middle, otherwise good.

I woke up early
I was in a good mood
So instead of letting the excellent BBC WS spoil my day with all the miseries of the world
I tuned here .
Heard very little audio in a language I didn't understood.
My day was saved :-)

F1BJB,

"You can't handle the truth!" - Jack Nicholson's character in a "Few Good Men"

Everybody needs a break from the "truth" now and then ..

For grins, I recorded RRI's broadcast tonight on 7390 kHz via Gqrx and played back the audio through DReaM. DReaM synchronized a single frame so I'll have to try again in the future with the DR111, but without the main PC running.

Noted RRI on 7390 kHz again from here in New Zealand yesterday, 0430-0500 UTC. No decoding possible.

Cheers, Chris

Poor signal here in NZ today. As per usual, no chance of any decoding on this one.

I was hunting for DRM for the ABU Summit in Indonesia, but after the BBC in AM I switched to RRI on 7390 kHz. 99.99% CDA and almost 30 dB SNR. A very nice DRM signal.

I just heard the end of this transmission at 04H55 UTC.
It seemed good
And then it seems they switched to 7330Khz in French

SNR Tiganesti E2 logged for 29 minutes from 0428 UTC. 29.93 dB max. SNR and 100 % decoded audio.

Sadly the hosting company had a "catastrophic system failure" and lost all the data from this thread from the 6th October 2015 until the 18th May 2016.
