Sound Interface Start, waveInOpen() failed. This error usually occures if another application blocks the sound in.
Any hints?

Just a few ideas:

Is there another application using the sound card for the audio streaming?
Is the correct sound input selected (maybe change it using the command line options or edit the ini file)
Try an older version of Dream.

TX break at 18:56 UTC, TX intermodulation high, propagation OK, SNR very low at only 16 dB, good reception.

Quite good reception. There was one TX break around 19 UTC. The SNR has dropped to lower levels again.

Hello Simone,

at our club station I run a Perseus and a laptop. Starting Dream/Perseus locally, Dream runs without any problem.
From home I connect the laptop via Remote Desktop from Microsoft. Remote Desktop uses the soundcard and therefore
dream can t use it. That’s the problem. Meanwhile I had the idea to install a 2nd soundcard for Dream. I will try this.
The Perseus GUI has a "www button" for at least 6 months. But this button is not active until now....
I presume (knowing no details) that this button will activate a data transfer of the Perseus data from the remote laptop
to my home PC and the software itself will run on my home PC then. This could solve the Dream problem also.
(At the moment I see a graphic representation and hear the remote decoded audio on my home PC.)
I am playing around with this remote access for 6 months now and I don t want to miss is. The basic noise at our club station
is at least 10 dBs lower than at home and I enjoy the features of a 300 m long beverage antenna.

Hi all,

Bad results until ~19:20 then much better. A TX break noticed at 19:40.

Tonight the signal strength was very low with a minimum around 19:03 UTC.
The transmission started at very low snr, I verified that with a DReaM restart.
At 18:07 UTC someone pushed a switch and the snr was back at 24 dB.
At 19:00 UTC there was a carrier on frequency for a minute or two reducing readability.
In all very good that the snr is back at 24 dB ensuring good reception at low signal strength.
EDIT: ...and yes, there was a TX break at 19:40 UTC.

I agree with the previous speaker, except that I did not notice any QRM around 19 UTC. My max. SNR peaked at 21.5 dB, which was better than yesterday.

Yes, there was a TX break. It happens sometimes.

>23 dB SNR tonight and at the end I recorded +38 dBuV from the antenna and >97% CDA. I hope they received it at least that well in Brazil too...

A bit of tuning the TX made a big improvement about four minutes into the transmission. At the end the signal peaked at 41 dBuV here and the SNR was 22.6 dB at its best.
