The transmitter is only a few years old it is a Nautel NA200 capable of 200 kW AM or 80 kW DRM, so if its being run at 35 kW that is reduced power.

Thanks for the posts. I think the 170 degrees was aimed at Southern France, Portugal and Spain, where a lot of Irish people live. Unfortunately no reception reports from those areas!

Some more analysis of trip to Plymouth

Here are some maps created from the data we recorded. The required SNR for audio was about 13 dB or better.

UK reception

This is one of the best DRM frequencies in the UK at the moment:) , almost always a strong signal and high SNR. I have been listening to it quite a lot over the last 2 weeks.
