Just thought I'd try this today. Good reception. The 11.6 kbps stream didn't sound bad at all, even with music.
Haven't been DRM'ing much for months. Messing around with the radio - most recent change a wider roofing filter for potentially flatter passband for DRM. Here's a short log.

Here is the stat page for my best DRM reception to date. It is awfully DRM lonely here on the West Coast of the USA!
92.8% audio yeah! Previous dates were in the 30s!
Too bad I don't understand Arabic. I copied one minute of DW Sines 15435kHz today. That is also a first.
Here's to hoping New Zealand gets that DRM gear aimed at the USA or at least the Pacific.

Overnight log. There was something on frequency ending at 03:00 UTC. Was it still Kuwait?
I tuned in late, but looks like 75% audio or so.

I used to pick up Kuwait really well here in South America. In fact it used to come in better than RCI. But no more. There is nothing here. I can't even pick out the DRM frequency spectrum anymore.
It is pretty DRM lonely here in South America as well. 'Course I suppose that I could do something about that if I really wanted to.....

I was not able to get Radio Kuwait since
09/01/2006.
this morning I did get signal of Radio -
Kuwait on 11670KHZ.
SNR is 8 to 14dB and sound 10%
in Japan.
The sound is coming this moment.
Is there any information for moved
frequency to 11670KHZ?

But there are very heaby QRMs.
waek QRM is just on frequency 11675KHZ.

I noticed that 11675 was in DRM mode up until 0300 today.
I only caught the last couple of minutes so I don't know if it had been in DRM mode for the whole hour. Signal strength was very good at 0300, but still the poor sounding 11.6k audio.

Kuwait came very good but NK's interfrence-
became very strong at 22:15 UTC.
NK's QRM was stronger for 40dB than signal-
level from Kuwait.
Earlier in the evening there was an interfering station up 5kHz. The Kuwait transmission ended at 03:00 UTC.
This evening's report. The signal was peaking S9 +30dB on the S meter during the last two hours of transmission.

Fine 100% reception in Detroit, MI USA of MOI Kuwait's broadcast to North America on 11675 kHz at 2225 UTC. Reception was on a TenTec RX-350D using the DRM Software Radio with a Butternut Vertical Ham Antenna tuned for 40 meters.
Fine audio quality with a bit of echo reverb. Arabic music and talk. This is my first logging of Kuwait on DRM (although I used to enjoy their analogue English broadcast with great pop music programs every afternoon). Keep up the good work and please start beaming the English program to North America on DRM!

Haven't been listening for almost a year since North America seems to be a DRM free zone most of the time. I was not sure my updated decoder was working at all, however, I picked Radio Kuwait up on 11675 KC at 01:30 UTC -- weak, but usable signal. It seems the system is alive after all.
I've all time received strong and stability signal from MOI Kuwait on 11.675 in Poland.
there was strong signal to 23:45, when some AM station covered Kuwait. I don't know which station becuse i went to bed.

Fine signal into Detroit, MI USA at 0050 on 13-May with Arabic program and pretty good fidelity music. some dropouts, but, due to the low bitrate (11.6 kbs), was receivable about 50% of the time with only 10 dBM of signal.

First time in a very long time that I have tried to log this broadcast, and it turned out well. Not so good for the first couple hours, but the last 30 minutes were quite exceptional! Pretty good for 11277 KM...:)

Only 30 minutes of log tonight: I'm going to hold off on logging MOI Kuwait until propagation conditions get better. This broadcast is marginal enough as it is out here, and with no good openings to the Mideast, it's simply not worth it. When I see some improvement I'll start it up again.

Not very good again, but I must make this observation: MOI is now opening about an hour earlier than previous, especially over the last week or so. The log doesn't show it, but the signal is now visible when before it was not even showing the slightest trace on the waterfall.

I'm going to hold off posting any further logs until I see a positive shift in propagation out here. I'll monitor each night, but I'll post only when the log is anything other than the extremely poor results of late. There's no purpose in posting what are essentially blank logs with little to no data.

The log is longer tonight, but conditions were not quite as good: the band took somewhat longer to open up.
Max 19.9 SNR and 99.09% audio. I don't mind some of the "call to prayer" stuff, but I sure would appreciate some Arabic popular music and maybe something in English. Beggars can't be choosers, I guess :D

Yes indeed, if conditions are good and MOI rolls in out here on the west coast, they don't sound all that bad. Try and get them that good in analog and you'll see what I mean.
