Amazing how good this signal comes through while thunderstorms are close and electrostatic rain is falling. I could not listen to anything on mediumwave in the carradio at the same time.

From near Osnabrueck to Minden via A30, snr dip in Bad Oeynhausen and dropout in Weserauentunnel, great signal!
Unfortunately, there is interference from two AM stations on 7325 kHz after 16:00 UTC. Using their upper sideband I could hear a programm in what sounded like a turk language and another station broadcasting in arabic.
7465 kHz was much better.

Signal was not so strong here and interference caused nasty dropouts at the end of my logging period.

I think you got it wrong here. There was a delay of more than 2 minutes between both audio signals. It is even worse today with a delay of more than 3 minutes between real time and audio from Kvitsoy (on 9470 kHz). Each one of the regularly occuring breaks seems to add a little more delay.

@ Roland: During the past days whenever I tried transmissions from Rampisham and Kvitsoy always appeared to be sychronized when switching between the frequencies, see attachment showing about switching 10 times without a sync loss, only short dropouts.

as you may have spotted, BBC World Service will be broadcasting the Last Night of the Proms on DRM this year. The live broadcast is on MF only, but there will be a 1 hour recorded highlights programme on HF on Sunday Morning (10th Sept) at 08:06 UT.
Definately on 7320, hopefully on 9470.

A very good result for 80 mins this morning.

Perfect today, except some interference problems after 15 UTC.
Good reception with very slight interference which caused the ripple that can be seen in the log.
Despite my antenna operating near its resonance on this frequency, the signal from Rampisham was weaker than the one from Kvitsoy on 9470 kHz but it didn't show the interruptions of the latter.
Also, 7320 kHz carried both services.

some first results, signal from the other site is about 10dB weaker than from Rampisham, so local noise caused a drop in SNR in the first log. Meanwhile interference from the adjacent channel above is causing big problems.

here my results for the rest of the transmission today, from 1500 there was some AM interference (co-channel and from the adjacent channel above), but interference was not worse than the past days. Results however were a lot worse with the weaker DRM signal today, I also tried different antennas, using an amplifier etc. but no improvement whatever I used.
I also attach a log from this morning for comparison with results tomorrow morning.

Today was "BBC Day". As I couldn't resist to make a switch to check whether RNZ was coming in 175 kHz lower, there are two logs: The first one from 0600-1210 UTC and the second one from 1211-1715 UTC. I switched off at 1715, as it was impossible to hear BBC despite a very strong RF signal.
Log 1 starting at 0600 UTC:
0602 starting up with about +48 dBuV
0608 the decoded audio became "chopped"
0610 audio suddenly much improved
0630 I switched over to SLOW AGC. RF Signal about +60 dBuV
0830 - 0845 decoded audio gone completely
0932 there were 2 audio dropouts
1015 - 1030 decoded audio gone completely. RF Signal about +48 dBuV
1202 there was one audio dropout
Log 2 starting at 1211 UTC:
1259 TX Break. After the break the signal decreased about 10 dB.
1402 there was a break and no DRM stream.
1405 the RF Signal increased about 10 dB and SNR seemed to be higher
1505 the decoded audio became shakier and the rest is sel-explanatory.
1534 the RF signal was a about +45 dBuV and increased another 10 dB at 1717 UTC.

And here is my contribution which is similar to everybody else's with somewhat better reception between 15:00 and 16:00 UTC plus the addition of one minute at 18:19 UTC with decoded audio and an SNR of 22 dB. Did someone put the TX on the air again for just a minute?

Hi all thanks for all the reports. I just got back to my office and found that 7320 kHz is back to normal transmitting from Rampisham for the last few days.
I also got details of the antennas: For the tests we used a HRRS 4/2/.6/.7 on 78 degrees from Woofferton. Rampisham is normally HRS 4/2/.5/.5. on 80 degrees. In summary the difference between the antennas is that the first ones target area is more to North East of the second antenna. It seems the Rampisham antenna gives a better signal strength in Frankfurt, but I suspect that Baltic States would prefer the Woofferton antenna, especially as there is 4 dB extra transmitter power.
