Once again, the -12dB back end of the beam doing quite well, for about an hour, into the SE USA. :)

It is interesting that the omni directional signal from Wertachtal, at 06:00 is much weaker. That I suppose is the result of geographical location and Sines being under darkness a little more than Wertachtal?

I think there is a distorted AM transmitter 10 or 15 kHz below DW DRM that ruins the reception completely until 2130 UTC.

I started the log at 2030 UTC and noticed that something was splattering into the channel. On 3.985 MHz I found the culprit, Vietnam in German, distorted and overmodulated. According to my listings Iran goes off the air on this QRG at 2030 UTC, and after that there are no entries for that frequency.

From 2120 UTC the reception was perfect. The sudden rise in SNR at 2223 UTC was me switching the receiver to slow AGC.

Then in the early morning W-Tal causes problems between 0500 and 0530 UTC. Again there was the "smooth" switchover at 0700 UTC which caused a break in the audio stream.

Hi Digger and all

Thanks for all your reports. The gap from 5:00 UTC to 5:30 UTC. happen, because Sines is switched off during this 30 minutes. At this time we need the transmitter to send on 7200 KHz to Bulgary in AM mode. This 7200 KHz transmission, will be end at 25/11/2006, and from this date, except in the weekend, we will be on air from Sines, on this QRG from 16:00 UTC to 08:00 UTC. This is 16 hours running on 3995 KHz without interruptions.
