At the dutch border I am too close to Flevo polder, so most time problems with dead zone and backscatter.
Tonight I received Radio Sweden with high bitrate and real close to FM audio quality. Very good indeed!
In most parts of Germany the signal should be strong enough to achieve about 24dB SNR that is obviously needed for 100% troublefree audio at that bitrate.
As a listener at home I certainly prefer this quality!

Really interestiin g subject today about the sense of minority language broadcast in Sweden and teh Netherlands. Unfortunately it was only audible until 17:20 UTC.

Changing the broadcast schedule only twice a year is not enough! First quick step should be to change every quarter of a year. Target should be a worldwide realtime frequency planning. In the age of computer and internet, this should be possible.

This is the first reception report from me in this forum. I live 50 km south of Strasbourg, northeast France, and I am using a Digital World Traveller since last july, and I just installed Dream last weekend so I could really start logging stations precisely.

Bad signal level here for 5955 at this time, at least too low for the audio decoding. I noticed there was no sound in the audio decoded at the beginning of the hour. Service label and specifications barely decoded during the last 5 minutes.

No good results for me, especially some longer dropouts in the german half. Mabe because I used by error the 20 khz filter instead of the normal 10 khz filter. But for sure, there were heavy interferences from +/- 5khz. I really wonder why the radioplanners are having twice a year meetings at places were other people are doing their holidays, if the result is everytime like this. I think that we have a 10 khz stepping in Europe on 49m ?!?. At leat since decades in theory. A successful DRM transmission needs a clear +/- 5 khz channel. And a success of DRM needs lots of successful DRM transmission per day.

This seems to be the only QRG from Flevoland I have a realistic chance for regular reception.

Quite good results, except the last few minutes when Deutsche Welle went on air.

You have to look at the spectrum very careful to see the small peak of a carrier appearing which gives you the hint that on-channel AM interference is the reason for the sudden drop of SNR by 8dB. After Flevoland goes off-air you can see and hear, what was going on.....

Thanks for the messages regarding the audio hiss and all reception reports.

The audiolevel was set higher some time ago but it seemed that the side effect of this was an increase of the noise level.

Unfortunately right now there are only audio level settings possible: high and low.

So it's back to the low audio level again right now :-)
It will be something for the future to improve this.

Please also the note the higher bitrate again on all transmissions.

I come her again ,today was propagation from Flevo to Stockholm absolute PERFECT . Signal stringth peak S9+30 to 40db . S9=50uV . Absolute clear cannel. So CDA 100% ok first time. log 57min.
