A strong geomagnetic storm influences the logs for the time being. I was able to log this frequency another hour compared to Simone's log. But the SNR dropped within a minute to almost nothing. :eek: But like Sixten said, MUF for the distance is a lot lower than it ought to be.

I'm not sure what caused the unstable log in the beginning, I think the MUF was a bit on the low side for the distance, but it improved slightly afterwards.

@Carlos, I don't exactly remember, but I might have adjusted the antenna rod at the time of the dip in the beginning of the log. I noticed that the signal was fairly low in the beginning. Btw, I use the Ionograms at Juliusruh.

Today the ionosphere gave up abruptly around 1735. Looking at the Juliusruh Ionosphere chart, the MUF was 7 MHz over 1500 km. That explains everything.
