View Full Version : 9445 kHz Voice of Russia from Irkutsk Russia

The Voice of Russia has started broadcsts on 9445 kHz from the Irkutsk city.From 12-00 till 16 -00 UTC.
I live in the named city however I can not accept the broadcsts . The radiocenter situated approximately in fifty kilometers from the city.The transmitter works by the narrow beam in the western China and India direction. I could accept only the identifier of the radiostation during the test transfers. Here such paradoxes of the short-wave receiving. :confused:

I got them 104 16 e and 52 17 N.
Maybe this is location of city office.

Maybe.Except for that these figures are resulted in different systems of calculation. Yours in minutes and mine in decimal system are used.

Hi all,

I am not exactly in the target area for this transmission :p , but I logged it for a while this afternoon. There is a TX to be seen in Google Earth about 5.5 km SW (Azimuth 220°) from Odinsk, so I assumed this TX for my log. The biggest problem was VoR 5 kHz down, which splattered into the channel. Nice catch anyway. :)

Some bursts of audio today. I was out most of the time before starting the log, so I am not sure when the band "opened".

This log ends the Stockholm logs for now. I will certainly keep an eye open back in Switzerland for this QRG.

This is another transmission where I can see signs of DRM almost every night, but adjacent channel interference makes any decoding impossible :(
