Hi all
From tomorrow, Sines will be on air, carring de DW/BBC DRM programs, on 9610 KHz from 8:00 to 10:00 UTC

Perfect reception here. Here is the result for the first hour.

The second hour started with some QRM in the channel, perhaps an utility TX, but it disappeared after a short while.

But if you try to listen with the Morphy Richards DRM radio, you're in for a surprise: As soon as it locks up to the service, it crashes. Blue screen and the Morphy automatically switches itself off. Grrr. :confused:

I don't know whether the drop-outs were local problems or if they were TX related. Journaline produced the same error in the DRM Software RX, but in Dream it worked OK.

By the way, there were more drop-outs here towards the end of the transmission at 10 min. before and 1 min before QRT.

No problems noticed with Journaline and the FhG decoder, but I guess I am using an older version of the mmplayer.

Some dropouts this morning (CS or MDI feed?).
Btw Journaline can be received OK with DRM Software Radio 2.0.34.

Hi all
The dropout related by Digger on 12/12, was from the MDI feed to transmitter. (at LAN level), . The others, I have no explanation for it. All in transmitter, aparently was OK, no trips on the transmitter.
maybe was on the MDI feed, that normaly was not monitored from us.

There were four audio breaks during the first hour. The last half hour (second log) was perfect. Max SNR was 37.6 dB. :)

I agree! Perfect reception on this frequency from Sines. Listening to 'Insight. Putting the News in Perspective', from 08:29-10:00 UTC. CDA: 100%.
BTW the Journaline does not work with DRM SW Radio 2.0.38? I get "Error: NML with unknown compression 0x52". With Dream it works just fine, though.

Log her 84min only for TX stop. 0917 UTC. Her compare test for my antenna 1 Active 1.75m and 2 INV V 2x10m. Very small diff. Same signal stringth S9+40db /74dbuV. :rolleyes:

Thats all right. We had maintenance in the 60 Kv power station. So All transmissions gone down at about 9:20. Our gerenator is only for low power divices and general "in house" power. For TXs we have no emergency power.

73 and a good 2009 from Carlos Mourato
