CVC 1Africa to Africast in Nigeria

Dear all
CVC is transmitting its 1Africa service to Nigeria in DRM from Juelich from 20th-23rd October, 0900-1600 UTC, on 17860kHz.
We would love to hear from monitors in Nigeria or anywhere in Africa for that matter...

Some mins of audio here. Good IR but strong splatters from the QRM killed DRM, then the signal disappeared (the distance and TX site are wrong....).

Eu já consegui algum sinal DRM 17.860 khz mas foi por curto período de tempo e muito fraco.
Vou tentar até o dia 23 nas frequencias de 17.860 e outras em 17.685, 17.565 e 17.500 conforme informações do site DRM em:

I've managed to receive some 17,860 kHz DRM signal but it was for a short period of time and very weak.
I will try until the day 23 in the frequencies of 17,860 and 17,685 in other, 17,565, 17,500 as DRM information from the site at:

"CVC 1Africa" is a special DRM broadcast to the exhibition of Africast in Abuja, Nigeria, from 21-23 October 2008. "CVC 1Africa" broadcast from Juelich, Germany, from 9:00-16:00UTC on 17860 kHz.
We've received this broadcast today in Rubí (Barcelona) at 14:00UTC with a good signal quality, around 18-20dB.

I'm definitely in the skip zone here. Nothing to hear at all. No IR either, just a flat heap. Anyway, that was no surprise to me. Some scatter, but that was all.

PS: Now, 21st at 0910 UTC, the Chinese „Firedragon jammer“ spreads its "lovely music" on 17.855 MHz plus/minus 10 kHz. :mad: :mad:

Thanks everyone for the reports. Word from Abuja was that 1Africa was very well received through the schedule, even indoors.
