Hi all,
I received this transmission on 17640 kHz from Woofferton. The signal was good but weak after 17:30, no QRM and all dropouts caused due to deep fading. The sound was clean but with limited BW, up to about 3.5 kHz.
Take a look at the pngs.
So that was what I saw yesterday...

To close to the TX Site, I think. :D
But I got a few drops of audio and a "stable" SNR with an average of 5 dB.

Hi all,
I sent a reception report and I received the following reply, which I reproduce here, for your information:
Hi John,
Thank you for your reception report, you are well out of the target area
so we are impressed you were able to receive and decode at any point
during the transmission. It is likely you were picking up the side-lobe
of the antenna.
The target was Ascension Island (ASC) in the South Atlantic ocean
between Africa and South America.
After our initial 80KW's test on Monday, it was found that 3 hops to ASC
was too much for 64 QAM to cope with so unfortunately we had to revert
to 16 QAM to improve sync and audio stability.
As well as AAC B 11000bps, we may attempt CELP during our next broadcast
on Monday.
Feel free to spread the word.
Regards

By the way the above URL has some nice pics of the transmission gallery...
I was nowhere near my receiver, but there was something stuck in th log just before CVC; was this it?????????
Aha, well, 30° C outside; no activities inside ;)
Hi Digger,
I guess this was not from VTC, seems this was the CVC "test" that I mentioned on the CVC thread ;)

Infelizmente eu não estava sabendo desta transmissão. Gostaria de saber quais as novas datas que terão transmissão novamente?
Acho que o sinal pode chegar bem na minha região que está no sul do Brasil.

Unfortunately I was not aware of this transmission. I wonder what new dates that have transmission again?
I think the signal can reach well in my region which is in southern Brazil.
