BNR Digital is on air on this frequency now.
Again bad results for the first eight minutes, max 14 dB.
Very bad signal low signal stringth for 23,20kbps !!! and AM +5Khz .:mad:

Not even a trace here, nothing.
Quite good reception, but problems with a carrier (?) sitting in the upper end of the DRM signal. This frequency produced a lower SNR than 11.900 MHz did. I would say that 23 kbps is a too high. The overall result would profit from a lower bit rate.

And finally BNR appeared. Much better results than on 11900 kHz inspite of the QRM.
...and also here different confirgurations, 9 kHz and 18.06 kbps. But still a weak signal here and no audio. :-(
97.5% Decoded Audio during almost 2 hours. Most of the drop-outs were because of the sometimes quite weak signal.

Hi all,
A very short log. It seems that the choice of the 9 kHz BW works well over the adjacent QRM carriers. All dropouts caused due to deep fading.
About 95% CDA during 90 minutes or so.
Very good in the beginning of my log, the last 20 minutes or so were more problematic.
Ant is on CB 5/8 , receiver is Himalaya DRM2009.
I am in JO60SH.

Almost two hours with >95% CDA. I noticed that the signal faded sometimes which was problematic. Then I am not sure if a distant thunderstorm punched holes in the decoding around 15:10 UTC.
By the way, thanks to Radio Bulgaria for the nice reply to my e-mail.
Similar results today in this 3 hour long log: At times there was slow Fading which caused audio drop-outs.

Here is the result for today until the signal got weak and hid by the QRM and noise.

Generally good reception, but there is always some slow Fading which causes minor audio drop-outs. When my input signal falls below 15 dBµV decoding stops. The Signal hovers around 27 dBµV on the average and it peaked around 15:25 UTC at 35 dBµV. At that time SNR peaked at 27.6 dB. Towards the end of the transmission there are a few problems, probably when the adjacent channels ±5 kHz start up.
Today's log shows a 6 dB lower SNR and and 96 % CDA, which was lower that last Thursday. Could be propagation of course, but I noticed a dip in the SNR spectrum about 5 kHz up, which I can't explain.
Not so strong signal today. A lot of the SNR dips were caused by lightning 30-50 km around my QTH.
Similar results as yesterday.

Quite good but some periods with a weaker signal. I didn't notice what was the reason for the sudden crash at the end, but it could have been spatter from a noisy transmitter on 9.670 MHz which rattles over a large spectrum. :confused:

Generally a bit weaker signal on 9 MHz than on 11 MHz. This channel is more prone to fade-outs.

The first 80 minutes of the log were perfect. There were a few dropouts during the last 20 minutes. Almost 100% CDA.
Perfect almost up until the end. The last 15 minutes suffered from something. I was not in during the last 25 minutes so I cannot judge what was the cause.

Almost perfect reception for 84 minutes.
Although the signal was a little bit on the weak side sometimes, the overall result was nearly perfect. :)
Two hours of perfect reception.
Not so good this afternoon. The part between 1510 - 1550 was mostly due to a weaker signal at that time.

Hi all,
Strong signal (~50dBuV) this afternoon, so SQ: 98.97%.
Less than 50% CDA today on the German broadcast. Good audio-quality but strong interference by an AM station on 9695 kHz broadcasting in French.

Mostly unattended log, the audio source quality was not good sometimes:
Not very good at my location. A mode change was noted, but it was too short to judge whether it made any difference or not.
Good results except for a short period from 0620- 0630, could have been a local problem.

Pretty good results from 1545- 1600 and 1630- 1700 today using PL1 and AAC+ encoding. Some droputs for the rest of the time.

This configuration must be a joke - or... ??? :confused:
I guess there was an error after the configuration change (using only 5 kHz bandwidth with PL 3), anyway lots of dropouts with PL 3.

Short log. Strong AM interference 5khz down. The drm-signal was mostly strong enough. At the log the if-dsp by my TS-2000 was switched to around 3,5 khz bandwidth.
No problems from the interfering station 5 kHz up as can be seen in the MER plot, lots of dropouts with this configuration, quite long IR at times.

Thanks for monitoring to all of you. We are hadlry trying to cope with the intererence on both adjacent channels on this frequency by trying narrower bandwidths. Seems 4.5 kHz we tried last does not help a lot, neither 5 kHz, thus we will stay on 9kHz 16 QAM but today we will try different antenna setup, let's see ...

Great results tonight, actually my best results on the evening transmission, really nice configuration giving a robust signal at a reasonable bitrate, the best settings so far and no problems with interferers at all.
