1593 kHz - Littoral AM

Hello All,

A new station on medium waves : Littoral AM in DRM 1593 kHz. This station is located in Brittany (near Rennes). Web site : http://littoralinfo.over-blog.com
Our reports are welcome.

From Bourges this morning (8h TU), I received this station S9, but the SNR was about 11 dB, not enough to decode the audio.

I'll try this evening !!

My distance to WDR2 Klassik Langenberg on 1593 kHz is only 65 km,
so probably no reception possible here.

25/02/08 - Littoral Media - 1593 kHz

Hello,

Yesterday evening I tried to decode this new station but without a lot of success !!

The signal here was between S9+10 and S9+20. It seems some good conditions. But the SNR stayed below 12 dB and Dream had some difficulties to decode the audio.

As you could see on the captions, the SNR increased and suddenly dropped (do not take into account the location of the transmitter). Sometimes, I received the signal from WDR in Germany (600 km from my home).

Spotted Littoral Media here, but its signal strength is not enough to produce any audio. Now at 06:30 it has become a duel between France and Germany on the frequency.

Some more information about Littoral AM's DRM transmissions are available at http://littoralinfo.over-blog.com/. Looks like they use the freeware ZaraRadio for their program automation.

The first time of receiving just a sniff of this station at 22h30z, usually I only get Langenberg. Unfortunately no audio but its still a result. Now as I'm writing(22h35z) I am receiving Langenberg instead.
