DAB+ transmissions have popped up in the Czech Republic. A month-long trial is being conducted in conjunction with public-service broadcaster Czech Radio. The transmissions using the new additional audio codec (AAC/AAC+) are taking place in the Pribram region on Blocks 12D and LI.

I am a bit confused the first shot on the Himalaya set shows the bitrate for MP2 standard for DAB as 192k stereo, then it retunes to what looks like the same station, but as AAC+ DAB+, but does not show the bitrate to confirm.

The Himalaya's Radioscape chipset should cope with the AAC+ codec as it is the same as use in DRM, but I did not think the final DAB+ firmware for any commercial sets has yet been formally released.

Hi DBourne, in city Pribram is testing MP2 on III band and new MP4 AAC+ on L band. Sorry, i don't have video about test on L band. But i tested DAB+ 1hour later after this record....... but i not have charging AKU in camera :( .
Himalaya DRM2009 working !! This is most important. FW in receiver working.

Thanks for the update, a first for the Himalaya DRM2009 to get DAB+ working on a normal set.
What bitrates are being used on DAB+?

I receiver.... Radio Cesko ... 40kbps / joinstereo and Leonardo 56kbps / joinstereo.
