I have prepared a Map of DRMrx forum members (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=http://www.stoepplernet.de/drm/drmrxforum2.kml&layer=&ie=UTF8&z=2&om=1) as it is interesting to see where people are located around the world.
Thanks to all who agreed to have their usernames added.
Everyone who wants to be added to the map please let me know by email or reply here.
Sometimes coordinates from reception results are not accurate enough, so lacations might be a few km off, to be able correct this please send me your coordinates in this format +/- ddd.ddddd
Thanks, Simone

How should this work?
I only see some tags in my browser (different locations, different computers, different networks ...)

Seemed to be a google-problem?
This morning a map is showing up indeed :)

Simone,
you should use the following link:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=http://www.stoepplernet.de/drm/drmrxforum2.kml&layer=&ie=UTF8&z=2&om=1

The link you are giving (http://www.stoepplernet.de/drm/drmrxforum2.kml) doesn't work in company networks with firewall.

Hi Bernhard,
sorry I can not find any difference between the link you gave and mine, the one you quoted above is only a part of the URL and canīt work.
I guess you have a problem with the structure of the URL.

Hi Simone,
I can confirm Bernhards findings.
The link he quotes works OK through our proxy, bringing up the map.
Your link only opens a page of xml tags.
Andy.

Hi Andy,
thanks, thatīs interesting as both are exactly the same.
What happens if you click right on my link below and select "copy link address" and paste this in your browser?

Hi Simone,
That link works OK, either clicking directly, or copying and pasting the link address.

Hi all,

interesting maps! I think Google Maps has to observe some strict restrictions. The only correct TX-location is Wertachtal - all others show mainly trees instead of towers. Some pictures are very sharp - you can see people walking - on others (like mine) houses are hardly visible. I think in my case the nearby military training area could be the reason .......

Indeed, the quality varies a lot. But in my case, I can clearly see on which day the photo was taken. It was a friday.

Hi Simone and all,

Here is a super site for where the transmitters are around the world:

http://www.voacap.com/qth.html

The list is a bit messy, but you'll find the station you're looking for in the list.
Compliments to the author of that list

Hi Simone,

Here are my google map coordinates...

-0.171763S
-78.489552W

Also, we have another receiver at our transmitter site. I don't know if you want to include that one or not, but the coordinates are...

-0.236109S
-78.341306W

I would call it "HCJB Txer Site" or some such thing.

Thanks,

Doug

Hi Simone,

Andimik's designation for "Pifo" is the same as "HCJB Txer site" although my coordinates for the site are more accurate (I have it right on top of the transmitter building). So that would be a duplicate and does not need to added again.
