This weekend I'll be experimenting a bit with something off the wall, but that may be fun to fool with..

It occurred to me that it might be possible to stream the 12khz IF audio from the DWT or any receiver/converter for that matter, using PCM, uncompressed, and in my case, Windows Media Encoder to create the stream. This stream would run about 1.4mbps. Another user could connect to the internet stream and decode it using Dream, etc. Assuming some of us have high speed upload capabilities, it would be interesting to use this method to "listen" to the DRM signals received remotely by other radios.

Why not just use Dream?

Simone

how would I get the Dream transmitter 12khz output to the internet as a PCM stream?

Here's what I planned:

Dream xmtr>>>>VAC>>>>WindowsMediaEncoder>>>>internet

internet>>>>>WindowsMediaPlayer>>>>>VAC>>>>>Dream rcvr

Hi tedex,
I was thinking of using the RSCI interface.
