Tonight (at about 1 o'clock UTC) I heard a test transmission of the German medium wave transmitter Mühlacker on 576kHz (southwestern Germany)

Audio: AAC+/SBR, 24kbps, parametric stereo
They broadcasted the usual program of SWR Cont.Ra with a take-over of the night program of MDR info. In spite of the high audio rate, the sound was thumb and muffling.
Reception on the Morphy Richards was quite okay here in the southeastern part of Germany, sometimes with longer breaks with no audio. The frequency was overcrowded with AM qrm and even in AM mode, the reception of Mühlacker isn't very good here.
Perhaps they do some additional tests during the next days/nights!?
