i found a mod for the sharp DX-394 to use it for DRM.
Well my first receiver was a DX-394 and i still use it often.
and i think this receiver works well for utility signals, so also DRM.
Has anyone experience with this receiver for DRM.

I posted the same link about a year earlier in this message (http://www.drmrx.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1196). I built a couple of converters and, with other mods, had some success decoding DRM using the DX-394A as the tuner. The DX-394B is superior because it has better phase stability. I developed a mod for my DX-394A that achieves similar results - I inserted a buffer amp between the 2nd Local Oscillator and 2nd Mixer. Other mods like variable speed AGC and AGC Defeat are also helpful. Most of this was written up in the DX-394 User Forum (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RADIOSHACKDX394/). My modified DX-394A was able to achieve over 30 dB DRM SNR under good propagation conditions.

Cheers,
Tom
