Band opened late tonight, then a TX failure, and the rest was good, 99.8% CDA.
Something changed in the TX drift.

I left the receiver on the frequency and was not aware of any transmission until I heard voices from downstairs. The signal was there from at least 15 minutes before any decoded audio appeared. This was around 1830. The rest is pretty much like Fritz's log, perhaps mine is a little bit better. 100 % CDA from 1858 UTC. :) :)

The second hour was Beto Reymunde at his best. :D

As the audio vanished short after start I was listening to CVC via the Live 365 stream on the internet and did not notice that DReaM crashed a little later. Over an hour later I restarted DReaM with the same result: The signal and audio were gone after a few minutes.
The propagation is very unstable at this time of year.

The signal was there for the first 40 minutes with snr peaking 11 dB and no audio.

@pksato:
CVC tested a lot in the past and the mode in use is a good compromise.
DRM was made to transmit FM like audio quality.
At SNRs below 14dB the bitrate has to be reduced so much that AM usually sounds better then, and you will still get a lot of dropouts when your SNR goes down to 1dB.
So a better antenna, less local noise etc. is the solution.
Perhaps try CVC in AM on 17680 kHz at the same time.

Reduce noise (RFI) is near to impossible, unless I move to the Andes. :)
I don't have space to install a descent antenna. I use a ~1m in diameter loop antenna or 1.27m wipe (dipole) antenna.

Poor reception today, good antena signal, but low SNR on DReaM. Only 5% of audio.
In the beginning the DRM signal gone, and came a AM NHK transmission for some seconds.

CVC in AM on 17680 kHz is weak but with noise reduction I can listen to it.
