Very nice tonight, although Sackville seems to be closing things down a little early? Actually I've noticed this before: at 01:59 off the air we go! The sign-off actually gets cut a little bit...

Another good evening from Sackville and CRI. :)

A little blip at 0132 to keep the log real. :o
Brendan1
18-04-2010, 22:31
Excellent last night; sorry about posting late.

19-04-2010, 02:15
Tonight was not without errors, but they did not add up to much.
Brendan1
20-04-2010, 02:07
Only a small blip tonight, and it didn't do much damage.
Brendan1
22-04-2010, 02:03
Excellent reception tonight.
Nothing for last night I'm afraid to say: Dream crashed on me earlier in the day, and I did not find out until far too late in the day to fix it. :(

23-04-2010, 22:17
The band acted up a little last night.
Brendan1
24-04-2010, 02:08
Very good reception tonight.
Brendan1
25-04-2010, 02:03
Perfect reception tonight.
Brendan1
26-04-2010, 02:21
Perfect in most ways tonight, just one small blip.
Brendan1
27-04-2010, 04:18
Excellent reception tonight, nearly perfect.
Brendan1
28-04-2010, 02:04
A double blip at 0142/0143, but otherwise very good once again.
Brendan1
29-04-2010, 02:51
Excellent tonight.
Brendan1
30-04-2010, 02:27
Some hits tonight, but it was still above 99%!
Brendan1
01-05-2010, 02:10
Mea culpa: while adjusting a new monitor (and generally losing track of the time), I forgot to set the logging program correctly, so I missed the first 20 minutes... :o
Brendan1
02-05-2010, 02:19
Well for once the trouble was not with me! The transmitter went off air just after beginning the broadcast, and was off for some time. Not sure what happened...
Brendan1
03-05-2010, 02:08
Very good tonight, just one small, 3 second hiccup in the MSC.
Brendan1
04-05-2010, 02:06
Three hits tonight, two small ones, and one fairly large one. In spite of them, the overall percentage is still over 99%!
Brendan1
05-05-2010, 02:03
Excellent log tonight, in spite of all the solar activity.
Brendan1
06-05-2010, 02:25
Somehow the version of Dream I was using today didn't create the .CSV log so DRMPlot couldn't load it.
I used DRMCalc tonight, just for this one, and everything was okay on the radio end. :)
Brendan1
07-05-2010, 02:06
Only a few seconds of less-than-perfect reception, but it still adds up to over 99%. :)
Brendan1
08-05-2010, 02:04
Very good tonight, only a blip or two to spoil it. :)
Brendan1
09-05-2010, 02:06
Once again, reception is near perfect.
Brendan1
10-05-2010, 02:03
As close to perfect as one can expect: excellent reception again.
Brendan1
11-05-2010, 02:08
Two small drop-outs tonight, but again, it's still above 99%.
Brendan1
12-05-2010, 02:05
Some fairly minor dropouts, some small waves, and it was still over 99%. Not a bad night. :)
Brendan1
13-05-2010, 02:02
One small blip, no foul: excellent tonight.
Brendan1
14-05-2010, 02:03
A very nice way to start the weekend: near perfect tonight.
Brendan1
15-05-2010, 02:17
Still excellent, only a minor dropout.
Brendan1
16-05-2010, 02:08
Only one dropout, so it was nearly perfect.
Brendan1
17-05-2010, 02:04
Perfect - no dropouts!
Brendan1
18-05-2010, 02:10
Only one short dropout to make it less than 100% tonight. :o
Brendan1
19-05-2010, 02:03
Very nice again, two dropouts is all.
Brendan1
21-05-2010, 02:05
One small drop-out below perfect. Nothing for the 20th: in the rush to get ready for work, I didn't set up the logging program correctly - so no log, sorry!
Brendan1
22-05-2010, 02:23
Three dropouts tonight, but it was still excellent reception.
Brendan1
23-05-2010, 02:22
The solar flux is higher at the moment, so that may have contributed to the "wavering" frames decode line.

No log for the 24th, as I'm dismantling my receiving gear in order to move. I won't be back here with a new log until about the 30th.
Tonight's 6080 kHz reception report. Very good with just three audio glitches.
73,
-Zyg-
The solar flare really did change things this evening!
-Zyg-
The Sackville transmitter is still affected by the aurora from the solar flare...
-Zyg-
Conditions beginning to improve.
Logging started 20 minutes late (finger error - it started logging on 6800 kHz and not 6080 :o ).
Conditions are strange and overall poor.
Continuing poor.
Even when the SNR is there, the "spread out" channel impulse response is the problem (see 2nd attachment)!
Conditions continue to be disturbed.
Conditions continue to be very unsettled.
Getting better, but still not back to normal.
Looks like multipath and frequency dispersion (doppler) are the main culprits.
Still poor reception, worse than last night.
Reception very poor this evening.
Continuing almost non-existant.
Better, but still no audio decoding.
This evening's reception report (logging started late).
The doppler peaks are due to the re-sync's when trying out the DReaM bandwidth filter.
Surprise, some audio (very little) decoded!
Just a small decoding blip.
Better than last night, even some audio was decoded!
Signal too low to decode.
Some audio at the beginning and end.
Service ID now shows China.
Low, low SNR. Hopefully the signal will pick up this month.
Nothing receceived, except for a blip at the very start.
Much better, but still a ways to go.
Last night's reception report - about the same as before - no audio decoded.
Some audio decoded. Looks like the transmission started a few minutes late. The screen ID showed "DRM from CBC" and the signal was 64QAM.
I think that the small blips are not even a signal?
A little audio decoding at the end of the transmission, when the delay and doppler were just at the right level!
A few snippets of audio came through.
A little audio decoded.
Frequency dispersion (doppler) between Sackville and Atlanta appears to be the culprit.
Last night's reception report. Some more audio blips.
Tonight's reception continuing very poor.
Last night's reception report.
Slightly better than yesterday.
Either the propagation was bad or the transmitter was off, but there was no signal received last night.
Conditions much worse last night.
Conditions a little better tonight.
Not sure if it's my new long wire antenna or the propagation conditions, but this is the best reception report in two months! :)
Last night's reception report - 94.83% audio.
Last night's reception report - 98.22% audio. Would have been better had the logger switched off a minute earlier and avoided the transmitter shut down...
Last night's excellent reception report - 99.52% audio! :)
Excellent reception last night - 99.52% audio! :)
Reception was excellent until the last 10 minutes.
Excellent - 99.37% audio! :)
Conditions not as good - 81.11% audio.

Not bad - I decided to see how well CRI was coming in here, and it's pretty good!
A bit of a late start due to a computer restart caused by Windows Updates.
Last night's reception 95.38% audio. Signal improved at the end.
Not very good. the audio dropped out towards the end - 75.92%.
Propagation path deteriorating only 66.36% audio last night.
Conditions improved last night - 95.73% audio! :)
Excellent reception last night - 99.55% audio! :)
Continuing excellent reception - 99.12% audio. :)
Another good reception report - 95.38% audio.
Excellent reception report - 99.26% audio. :)
Continuing excellent - 99.35% audio! :)
Reception a little down last night - 98.39% audio. There was a slight delay to the start of the transmission which contributed to this audio loss.
Excellent reception - 99.96% audio! :)
Very good - 98.90% audio.
Started off well then conditions dropped half way through the transmission - 69.36% audio.
SNR dropped again half way through - 54.84% audio.
Much better - 95.27% audio!
Conditions were poor last night only 5.80% audio.
Conditions back up - 90.15% audio!
Logger received no signal last night.
Logger received no signal last night.

Zyg - It looks like CRI has dropped their broadcast for now. The Dream online schedule has been updated as of the 1st, and CRI is completely off.
Brendan,
Thank you -- until yesterday CRI was still on the schedule!
