Hello to all,
No logging today, I just tried reception at different times. It was always good (means always audio with short dropouts), around 18dB SNR on the laptop running on AC power, and Degen DE31 antenna -which was plugged to my Digital World Traveller, but not set properly at the window and not put on ! That means the signal is strong here at the south of Strasbourg.
I noticed first test without any sound, then the TDP programme. Happy birthday to TDP Radio anyway !

I also tried again with the MP40, telescopic antenna indoors, MER about 23 dB, no audible droputs, here 2 new pictures as the pictures above were with the old label, no text etc.

Seemed transmission started a few minutes late, then signal was not as strong as usual, also SNR was lower (limited at 21 dB), somewhat better again in the last 15min, but despite all this results were not bad.

Yes, late start, lot of work on the transmitter to be done and a new driver tube finally fitted which needs to be aged a little in order to get a better SNR.

Thanks for your interesting report as usual about our 6015 kHe transmission from ISS. As you can see, we also had problems today with our transmitter (main fan engine to be replaced, not simple!) but from 1542 UTC it's OK now even with a better SNR.

Ouuuuugh, problems and funny sounds and hisses and interruptions until 1530 UT. :confused: Then quite OK reception. Even the music was better, AND the sound level was back to what we're used to compared to other services. :)

First time reception for me today. I got an extremly strong signal. Never logged such a strong signal before on 49m Band. The AM carrier reached sometimes 90dBµV:eek: But unfortunately a lot of TX problems today.
Sound quality was very good, also die music. Best DRM music station so far.

For me it's a little too weak to be fully uninterrupted. Is it possible I am already a bit outside the main beam?

Of course it sounds MUCH better than the fully distorted signal Juelich delivered on its last days.

I was out of my office last week but I kept on monitoring your reports without sending any message. Yes, we had a problem with our transmitter on 31 October and SNR was not good enough on 1 November (day off: "Toussaint")and minor problems on 5 November. Following Simone's recommandation, we will remove one "w" on TDP mail address; 3 "w" is enough!

A partly unattended report. There were some interruptions in the audio, but good on average here. 6 MHz is a bit messy here when darkness falls.
Once more an absolute stable signal without a single dropout and good sound quality.

bad news on a Sunday, seems there is a problem with the modulator or whatever, since the beginning of the transmission the SDC light in Dream turns red periodically, no audio although MSC light stays green, see attachment.

Problems the whole transmission time. It synced for a few seconds and then lost synchrnisation. Signalstrength was ok and SNR was better than yesterday.

Yes, unfortunately we had a problem on a PC in the MDI signal chain so DRM signal was not correct but Tx was running OK.

This station is not my cup of tea, but I just want to verify Simone's "I guess due to interference". I made a note at 1548 UTC "impossible with an AM station on top and AM on both sides".
So the log became rather short.

today I found a transmission of RFI on 6175 khz from Issoudon after 11:30 UTC. As you can see in the graph, there was a SNR improvment of 4 dB without a change in the signalstrength.
The transmission on 6015 khz was again very good and back with the usual SNR.

Thanks for reports; I was not aware of a transmission this morning; may be my colleagues were tuning our transmitter as SNR was a bit lower at the end of last week? I'll seek for more details.
Regarding a new transmission on 6175 kHz between 1130 and 1500 UTC, Yes I know that, as we have our second DRM transmitter back on air after big maintenance so it will be used from Monday 11 to Friday 15 December. It is basically the same transmitter as the one we are currently using for TDP on 6015 kHz and it could be a back-up.

A trumpet player 10 kHz up blasted TDP Radio down the drain 15 minutes after I had started logging... :mad:
TDP:s signal strength dropped towards the end of the log while the trumpet shoved a massive +73 dBuV into my antenna socket. The result can be ssen in the inlay in the PNG file.

Thanks for your reports. Yes, we had a problem on 20 February at the beginning of TDP Radio transmission so we switched to back-up transmitter. On 21 February, transmitter was repaired and an "on-air" test was done as Carsten mentioned. As audio is only available from TDP at the time of actual transmission, no audio was transmitted during test.
