A fairly short log last night: only 1.35% decoded.
The SNR rose to about 5 dB and no audio decoding. The SNR spike is due to a DReaM software bug.

The latest frequency change for this time slot has been switched to here: absolutely perfect results last night, and the SNR reached 19.85dB, which is nice and high! :D

This is what you call perfect, 100% reception for 50% of the time! Max SNR was 19.13dB.
No explanation for the shortened broadcast other than the need to take it off air for 30 minutes.
29.15% reception "for 50% of the time"! Max SNR was 17.64 dB.
SNR peaked to 10.04 dB and no audio decoded.

Nothing received here, no data recorded. As of 0628 MST, there is no change to the RNZI online schedule, I'll be sure to check later to see if there has been a change posted after this point.

The DRM signal is strong here but undecodable, Doppler way too high, SNR ~6dB.
The AM signal on 11725 kHz shows very strong fast fading but listening is OK. :)
The overnight reception - about 12 minutes of signal at the end - no audio decoded, 9.25 dB max SNR.

The signal is gradually getting stronger, but the CIR is mostly non-existent so decoding is impossible. Today I heard a few syllables just at the end of the transmission.

Good signal but undecodable, SNR ~ 6 dB:
Some audio from 6 minutes before QRT. The last minute was 100% perfect. This is more or less the same pattern as always. The path begins to open towards NZ.
The overnight reception - 1.55% audio decoded, 14.89 dB max SNR (including the early transmission shut down at 0649).
The overnight reception - 0.74% audio decoded, 14.88 dB max SNR.

The signal suddenly disappeared at 0649 UTC.
According to the RNZI Home Page:
0459-0758 11.725 AM 13.730 DRM Pacific Daily
China fires up at or just after 0700 on the same frequency. Then it is not possible to judge whether RNZI is back on air or not.
The overnight reception - no audio decoded, 7.07 dB max SNR.
Terje, the signal dropped at 0649...
Zyg,
Sorry, I wrote the wrong time. Not 0659, it should of course have been 0649. And it did disappear - suddenly no signal - and I was sitting in front of the receiver - *pop* - no more DRM noise.
Or, do they change the bearing at 0649??? Owdjim, Chris, help!
Or, do they change the bearing at 0649???
My understanding is that they remain on the same bearing until 0758 when they change frequency to 9870 kHz.
Overnight there was no signal received here.

A nice strong signal... but undecodable.
A short log. At least they are on air until 0758. There is AM (China) on the same channel, but the Doppler is also too high to allow any audio decoding. The last time I logged I noticed that the signal went off the air at 0649, perhaps that was a one time event. By the way, the text message reads "0459-0650 13730". Seems to be time for a correction!
No signal received overnight.
The overnight reception - 0.02% audio decoded, 11.33 dB max SNR.
Just when the signal had become strong enough to produce some audio, your friendly P. R. China started blaring in AM on the frequency. After that the transmission was unattended.
Same story this morning: China starts at 7 UTC and blocks the frequency completely.
My log stopped for some rundll32 reason, so the log is rather short.
No signal received overnight.
No signal received overnight.
I am not sure what happened at 0649, but China was definitely on the frequency at 0700 UTC.
This morning I noticed clearly that the DRM signal suddenly disappeared seconds before 0650 UTC. Just before 07 UTC China wished their Italian listeners "buonasera" (good evening) at 8 in the morning.
Then they started in Chinese killing RNZI (if they were on air).
Yes, the signal, or whatever was left of it, disappeared at 0650. The overnight reception - no audio decoded, 8.49 dB max SNR.
The signal gets stronger, and when it is at its best - they switch off. :(
No signal after 0650 UTC today either. Mind you, it says so in the text messages in Dream that they stop transmitting at 0650 UTC.
No signal received overnight.
Terje, the RNZI web site still shows 0758 as the official close time.
Hi Zyg,
Yes, I've seen it. Exactly that is what puzzles me. And, on 11 MHz there is nothing to see either - I have not checked the propagation for that QRG in the morning here with VOACAP.
Note 17th Dec. 0730-0750 UTC: China is on the QRG, but I cannot see any traces of RNZI in the Dream Input Spectrum.
Terje, RNZI sometimes just changes things with no explanation. I suppose that is because they use DRM primarily to "distribute" their programing to outlying islands for rebroadcast by local radio rather than to just "broadcast" in the more usual sense.
The overnight reception - no audio decoded, 7.74 dB max SNR.
The overnight reception - no audio decoded, 10.53 dB max SNR.
12 minutes log until shutdown. The signal quality is too low, Doppler too high and SNR to low to expect any sound. The max. SNR peaked at 11.78 dB just before the end.
No signal received overnight.
This morning's result: Traces of signal were heard around 0630 and the signal got stronger until shutdown 0649 UTC.
Again, no signal received overnight.
This morning's result: Traces of signal were heard around 0640 and the signal got stronger until shutdown 0650 UTC.

I got up in the middle of the night and noticed that the label said that 13730 kHz only on till 0650 with 11675 kHz following at 0651 - 0758. The RNZI website schedule does not show this (new) information.

There was obviously a transmitter malfunction. No DRM was received on the other scheduled frequencies this morning.
Same today, at least they had some problems to get 13730 kHz on air. I left after the second attempt to get on air, and when I came back it looked like the enclosed log.
This is what it looked like over here. The overnight reception - 57.02% audio decoded, 19.39 dB max SNR.
